This experience takes place in Trsteno next to the Arboretum and a mediaeval olive grove. Trsteno is a small village located near Dubrovnik, Croatia, that is known for its rich history and stunning natural beauty. One of the most notable attractions in Trsteno is the Arboretum, which is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. In addition to the Arboretum, Trsteno is also home to old olive groves, which produce some of the finest olive oil in the country. According to the weather the tasting and brunch takes place either at Katija's home, a few centuries old house immediately next to the Arboretum or in the olive grove itself. You will be given a brief history of the olive groves and the traditional methods used to produce olive oil in the area. She then explained the different varieties of olives that are grown in the groves and how they each contribute to the unique flavour and quality of the oil. Afterwards you will get different olive oils to sample and evaluate. All this is accompanied by a rich buffet of Dalmatian specialities to enjoy your brunch with all senses.
